Tim + Patty's Florida Beach Wedding

Last year I had the privilege of photographing engagements and the wedding of Joseph + Katie at Pine Lake Pavilion in North Carolina. Patty is Katie's cousin and was one of her bridesmaids. When the girls were getting ready, she mentioned she was getting married in 2011 in Florida and I told her "I travel!" I was delighted to get an email from her after Katie's wedding and the rest is history. She married a super cool guy Tim, and the ceremony was on the beach in beautiful Clearwater Beach, Florida just a few weeks ago. We had gorgeous weather and everyone was awesome to celebrate with. Tim + Patty had lots of cool things planned too. The reception had a cigar roller and caricature artist, and there was much fun and dancing. I also got to see Joseph + Katie again at the wedding. You can see Katie in the photos below sporting the cigar!

Christina and Trey's wedding was one of those outdoor weddings that you pray has great weather with no rain. On my way to the wedding it rained the whole time! But amazingly once I arrived there the rain had ceased and the day ended up being beautiful! This was a fun bunch to work with. I'll never forget the exploding keg, the full on face smash into the wedding cake by bride and groom, or the 3 way dancing splits by Trey, his dad and his sister simultaneously. Thanks to Christina + Trey and their fun bunch! Also a big thanks to Leigh Pearce and her girls for their awesome planning/coordinating skills!

You may have seen Emma's portraits over the last few years on my blog, as well as the Pell family. In the fall of last year they added a son to the mix! Here are some images from earlier this year.

Flashes of Hope - UNC

Last year I started volunteering with an awesome organization called Flashes of Hope. It's a non-profit "dedicated to creating powerful, uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses." The first time I shot with them was at Victory Junction gang camp and this year I got to help out again at the UNC Cancer Clinic in Chapel Hill. I wanted to show you some moments with the kids I got to spend the day with. They were an inspiring lively bunch and a lot of fun to be with.
